Volunteer Appreciation Award
I volunteered at my high school’s annual lego robotics competition and was awarded the Volunteer Appreciation Award. This award is given to the volunteer who is appreciated the most for the competition. I was surprised it was granted to me because we typically give this to someone who it will greatly impact. I am part of the group of key volunteers, so it is usually my job to also consider who to give this award too. Although, I’m not surprised that I earned this, because a good amount of hours was put into making this event a great experience for all people (competitors and volunteers alike).
What’s funny is that I made the awards myself. So I essentially made an award for myself.
I started off by prototyping them:
We gave out 11 awards that day. All 3D printed using Polymaker’s Panchroma Azure Blue PLA. Making all the awards took about 3 weeks of prototyping, printing, and super glueing.

After the tournament
Once the event was over, I had to immediately head home and pack for a week-long business trip to Singapore.
